What I do
To Whom This May Concern:
For 48 years in the IT industry, I have been in roles as both a contractor and in the corporate world as a direct, full-time employee.
I am happy and able to function in either role, equally well.
However, I prefer permanent employment; on-site or remote.
I have held and am most interested in the following types of positions...
- Sr. Director of IT
- Software Development Manager
- Database/DBA Manager
- Software Vendor Relations Manager
- Environment Manager
- Release Manager
- SCM Operations Manager
- Merge Manager (SVN, GIT)
- Sr. Projects Manager
- Webmaster Manager
- Sr. Systems Administrator (Unix, Linux, Windows)
- Sr. DBA or Sr. Oracle EBS Applications DBA
- Sr. Dev-Ops Engr/Mgr
- EDI Dept. Manager
- Customer Service/Support Manager
... or similar.
I served in the USAF from 1974 to 1977
While in the USAF, I volunteered for special duty and taught electronic principles (DC through microwave) to over 30 MOSs. I was honorably discharged with full benefits. During basic training I was Squad Leader and promoted to Dorm Chief. During Tech-School I was Red Rope and responsible for over 800 personnel. I graduated tech-school (Computer and Teletype maintenance – Crypto) with a 96.4 GPA.
- I’m a “roll-up-your-sleeves and get in the trenches with the troops” kind of manager/director.
- I’m, also, a ...
- responsive website designer
- voice-over artist
- singer, and ...
More than that, I’m a creator – I love coming up with solutions where none existed before.
I love everything IT, and … I will travel anywhere, anytime.
I'm a 1-Man IT Shop, so a small company that would keep me around as something like IT Manager/Director for the rest of my years would be perfect, but I love large corporate environments equally.
Sales, Marketing, and Training Experience, Too...
Since 1998 I’ve also been an Internet Marketing and Training expert, and currently hold weekly online seminars where I offer free training to entrepreneurs.
In addition to that, my experience spans many horizontal and vertical markets as you can see in my Biographical Resume available on my main website.
Thank you in advance for considering me for any role in your organization that my very wide, long, and deep experiential background may qualify me for.
... A Final Note ...
Don’t think me over-qualified, because my love of IT and my ability to do more than hired for has frequently benefited companies I’ve served and is sure to benefit yours.
